Hello everybody,
we are planning to migrate our Powerbuilder applications mainly written with PB9.5 to Powerbuilder 12.6 end of next year. Parallel to that some other applications will be upgrade to higher versions. During the first phase of the project we will have the challenge to run the applications on Windows 2003 Citrix server and Windows 2008 Citrix server.
The issue with operating system depending functionality, e.g. registry access with different path's, could be solved by determine of the operating system the application is running and then executing different code for it.
Now my question, is it nessesary to build the executable and PBD's on each operating system seperatly or would it be enough to build all on Windows 2008 and then distribute the exe and pbd's to window 2003 and Windows 2008 machine?
Any suggestions?
Thanks for your answers in advance.
