Win7 64bit, Aero Desktop
I've been trying to get backgrounds of picture buttons to appear the same as a regular button without success (in the transparent areas of an image). I've tried Map 3d but it pulls color from the old style color palette, and setting background color to transparent appears to pull color from the window (or tab) behind the button (but doesn't pull from any other object behind it, so it's not really completely transparent).
Here's an example image (clip from running app with sample buttons):
Background of image is a tab page, set color to Red, all objects made bigger so it's easier to see background. Question mark image is a gif with transparent pixels for background.
Objects left to right are:
Command Button (this is how I'd like picture button background to look)
Picture Button, map 3d colors on
Picture Button, map 3d colors off, font background green
Picture Button, map 3d colors off, font background button face (which appears to be identical to "map 3d colors" background)
Picture Button, map 3d colors off, font background transparent
Is this something that has come up for anyone else?
I would like to be able to solve this, but it's not critical to operation of the app. It would just look better if all buttons were consistent. And no, I'm not going to replace all the standard buttons with picture buttons just to make them all look the same.
